Despair

I woke up today,
and saw that the sky was grey.
The clouds were in disarray,
and the Sun seem to lost its shine.

The birds wasn't singing;
the flowers did not dance in the wind.
The atmosphere was stifling,
and the silence, almost deafening.

I felt a sharp pain -
felt like my broken heart aching,
and the shattered pieces continually
piercing through it all.

Then I started to cry -
The tears flowing freely,
like the falling of leaves,
from the withering old tree..
