Change is not easy to accept, but at the end of the day, no matter how reluctant or resistant we are to Change, we all have to accept that everything changes and that no one thing or one person can remain the same forever.

People usually don't like Change because of the lure of being in a safe and secure comfort zone. Having to come out from this comfort zone will mean having to step into the Unknown and stepping into the Unknown means having to be exposed to everything that this Unknown is going to bring - new challenges and problems to face; new risks to take; new people to know; new environment to adapt to etc. It takes tremendous courage and faith to step into the Unknown, and how one reacts to this Change will reflect his/her level of maturity.

He who resist Change is foolish for change is the only constant in life. Flowers will blossom, but they will also wither. You could be driving a Mini Cooper, but one day, it'll have to be scrapped. The S$250 Nike sneakers on your feet will wear and tear in time to come, and your best friend today could become your enemy tomorrow.

Are you ready for Change?

Are you prepared to leave your comfort zone for the Unknown?

Are you well equipped for the Unknown?

Or are you going to resist and resist and resist Change?

Be on your toes because Change might just catch you unaware..

Look at how much work I have to do today:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It's not the whole department's work you know? These files belong to only 1 of them. Can you imagine? I don't even have space on my neat table to read my newspapers!!

These files belong to 1 senior assistant who has recently been "made" to do only admin stuff. It's pretty much a grey area cuz she's no longer doing claims, but she still retains her position, and her pay. It irks the rest of my colleagues because it means that they'll have to do all her back log, and her back log consists about 200 files. It is alot of work.

I guess life's never fair. If the upper management decides what you do, you can grumble, you can complain but you still have to take it or leave it. I mean, why should she be taking in the same amount of pay when all she does are reports and admin stuff? It's like after clearing my back log, I still have to clear someone else's back log and if I can't finish, I get the blame?

No wonder the turnover rate is so high. I would resign too, if that's the way I'm treated. I don't mind doing extra, but, you need to show me that the system is fair. I tell you, if this particular colleague dares to claim OT, the rest of the colleagues will probably stage a protest.

Such a beautiful song...

Bee Gees - First of May

When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
we used to love while others used to play.
Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
some one else moved in from far away.

Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small,
and you don't ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
but guess who'll cry come first of May.

The apple tree that grew for you and me,
I watched the apples falling one by one.
And I recall the moment of them all,
the day I kissed your cheek and you were mine.

When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
do do do do do do do do do...
Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
some one else moved in from far away.
