“Why walk so near the edge and hope not to fall?”

Don’t we all find ourselves doing that all the time?

How many times have we walked near the edge and hope that we will not fall?

How many times have we walked the edge of Temptation and hope we will not get tempted?

How many times have we tried to play with fire and hope we will not get burnt?

How many times have we fell off the edge and yet still persist in walking near the edge hoping this time we won’t fall again?

How many times must we fall before realizing we are always going to fall if we continue to walk so near the edge?

But we never learn our lessons, don’t we?

So what do I need a clean slate for?
